The philosophy of my homepage
There are many reasons why I have my homepage:
Graphics and other fancy stuff
Have you ever surfed on the net with a modem?
If you have you should know that graphics takes an infinity to load even with the fastest modems available theese days. Therefore I dont use much graphics. The graphics I'm using are small or necessary files, and I have compressed them with a program called GIFLITE. In a few years, when you can use the cable TV net or optic fiber cables to transfer large amounts of information on a short time I might start using a lot of graphics. Till then, I keep my pages plain and simple rather than all the advanced pages I never have the patience to see. (Web of Ozone, for example is very nice, but takes years to load)
For the same reason I'm not using any multimedia or VRML (Virtual Reality Markup Language) and probably won't for the next ten years or so.
I'd like everybody to be able to use my pages, so I wouldn't ever use specific Netscape, Mosaic, Internet explorer or any other code, just like a good programmer wouldn't make a program too strict to fit on multiple systems.
Personally i hate Frames, but since there are some advantages with it, and since some people like it, I have made both a version with and one without frames.
For the same reason that I don't have any fancy stuff I don't have any big files; except for some files, which I thought had to be the way I have them. The other files are splitted into smaller files with links to them, so you don't have to wait so long to download each file. That's one of the reasons why I don't have a big file with my philosophy, but have one file for each subject.
I am a strong atheist but unlike some other people I am very nice even to people who don't think like me. Blasphemy might be fun if you like to upset religious people, but my intention is to be nice and use reason to convince them that they are wrong. I have some good friends who are christians and why would I want to upset them?
I would also like to show people that atheists can indeed be nice, much nicer than many (I didn't say all) christians. I think I'm a nice guy and not because some "big brother" will reward me for it, but because I'm an idealist and altruist who would like to make the world better. If you have studied any genetics you should know that altruism is really egoism, so at the same time I've made this page for my own sake and made it the way I like it.
"Hate the sin, love the sinner" is a good rule, but my versions are "Hate the religion, love the religious" and "Hate the deception, love the deceived". I have nothing against religious people. They believe that they are right, because they have been blinded by the theologists. I wouldn't blame them for that, instead I would like to show them that they are wrong and that:
Hope ya' like it!
