Some personal info

(for those who haven't heard from me for ages)

In the last 25 years, I have, among other things,

Moved from Eskilstuna to Uppsala
Been somewhat active in SF-Fandom
~~Wasted~~ Spent some time in the military service
Travelled a bit, mostly in Europe and the Middle East
Done scientific research in Uppsala, Sweden; in Tartu, Estonia; and in Strasbourg, France
Got a PhD in biochemistry
Got married to Pille Rihvk
Got myself an apartment and a job in Miami, Florida
Realised that those, who call the Swedish system bureaucratic and overregulated, obviously haven't been to the USA lately
Constructed a personal homepage, to help old friends to find me after I changed both my physical and electronic addresses
Done pharmacological research at the University of Miami School of Medicine, a place where lectures are delivered on such subjects as "Celestial Pharmaceutics: Shamanic Plant Science"
Declared my resignation from the above mentioned institute
Moved back into my old living quarters and worked for some years as researcher in physiology at the University of Uppsala
Got a new and larger apartment, still in Uppsala
Changed my field of research from neurotoxins to plutonium, now at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm
Become manager of the department's new fuel laboratory
And I've become a father!

Alexandra Laura Hillevi Jolkkonen was born at Christmastime 2007 and has grown considerably since then.

Or leave a message in the guestbook. After all, that was the original purpose of this home page - to help old acquaintancies get in touch with me. Messages in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, English, German, Estonian and Finnish will be understood, although I might not answer in the same language.
