The figures within brackets indicate what the figures would have been if 
Josselin's diary had yielded 56 examples, i.e. a number similar to that of 
the other diarists. The hypothetical figure is given to point out the fact 
that Pepys and Evelyn as well as Josselin yielded fewer examples than the 
other writers. See Table 2.
