My relation to music
I was brought up playing the guitar. I realized my mistake by the age of 17, sold my electric 6-string, and bought my first synthesizer. (Of course, this wasted all chances I had of becoming a virtuoso at an instrument, but that's a different story)
Music is a special interest for me. A good piece of music is like a good book, or an engrossing movie. It takes you on a mental ride, away from work pressure, mortgages and whatever. An even more exciting experience is to be able to write your own story, and decide where the twists, turns and surprises of the plot will appear, and whether the ending will be happy, sappy, sad or just leave you aching for more.
As you might have gathered, I make music that I like to listen to, and occasionally someone else likes it too.

To give you a hint of my genre, this is some of the gear I use:
Kawai K5000S (Additive
synthesizer)
Really good master keyboard, extremely playable and malleable sounds. One of
the most overlooked instruments ever.
Korg Mono/Poly (Four-oscillator
mono/polyphonic analog synthesizer)
4-oscillator basses and leads from hell. Wood panels.
Novation Nova (Virtual
analog desktop synthesizer module)
Everything analog you could possibly want in a blue box. A digital blue
box even!
Yamaha DX7IIFD
(6-operator FM-synthesizer)
The way to experience FM sounds, along with NI's excellent FM7.
Korg Wavestation EX (Wave-sequencing
and vector synthesizer)
Organic pads and lifelike atmospheres. Just a beatiful instrument from the
wasted '90s.
Numerous drum machines (Analog/digital)
I have numerous drum machines, on the border of being a collector. Three that really stand out are the Roland TR-808, Elektron MachineDrum UW and Yamaha RX11, for their sounds and creative potential.
